MidAmerican Energy Company
provides electric service to more than 729,000 customers and natural gas service to more than 709,000 customers in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and South Dakota. It is headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa.

Northern Natural Gas Company
is based in Omaha, Neb., and operates an interstate natural gas pipeline system extending from southern Texas to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Northern provides transportation and storage services to 78 utilities and numerous end-use customers in the Upper Midwest. It provides cross-haul and grid transportation between other interstate and intrastate pipelines and access to six major gas supply basins in North America.
